A gorgeous garden with lush leaves, overblown flowers, and delicate tendrils is worked in rich shades of garnet, alizarin, green, blue, and gold. The leaves are reminiscent of Venetian brocade motifs while the large flowers are classic examples of the stylized floral motifs found in many folk embroideries. The combination of these motifs from different eras creates a uniquely graceful and intricate table runner.

My high quality kits come with everything you need to make the runner in the photos--32ct 100% cotton Mikini "raw" in natural*, DMC floss, full color SOC (symbol-on-chart) pattern with both a close up and a full size schematic so you know how many repeats to work, along with a John James size 24 tapestry needle. The raw edges of the fabric are serged for your convenience, so you can start stitching as soon as you open the kit!

*a note about the Mikini 32ct "raw": this is unprocessed Mikini before it has gone through the mercerization process so it is 30ct in the weft and 32ct in the warp which means your stitch count will be slightly different in one direction. I have allowed extra fabric for this so you do not need to worry about which direction to begin your design.
