This highly stylized border evokes a graceful grove with grazing deer and nesting birds set among large urns and delicate branches, a peaceful setting for Pomona, the ancient Roman goddess of gardens and orchards. Inspired by 18th century bed valance embroideries from the Greek islands, it is reimagined as a beautiful table runner and worked in a traditional palette of garnet, green, and gold.
