A traditional symbol of abundance, life, and beauty, pomegranates are seen in many historic Mediterranean textiles and this design is inspired by a 15th century woven silk brocade. The lovely design is worked in shades of garnet, alizarin and greens and makes an elegant addition to any decor. Suitable as a wall hanging or sewn into a cushion cover or whatever project you desire!

This is a terrific design for beginners as you learn five embroidery stitches and there is a helpful how-to video on my Demos page.

My high quality kits include the design stamped with waterproof archival ink on 100% Kona cotton (so you can wash the design after if you like), DMC 100% cotton embroidery floss, John James size 7 embroidery needle, how to embroider instruction booklet, and a reusable stitch diagram (simply tape it to a window or light box and trace onto the fabric of your choice), and 6' beechwood embroidery hoop.

Stitches: Backstitch, satin stitch, French knot, Byzantine fishbone (flat stitch)

Finished size: 6 inches in diameter

These kits are 100% reusable or recyclable and packaged in environmentally friendly packaging (no plastic!).
