This striking cross stitch design is inspired by a traditional shawl from the Corinthos region of Greece and features a row of bold stylized floral motifs inset with eight-pointed stars set within a lavish outer border made up of several repeating elements, a stitched tribute to the many wildflowers that grow in this region of the Peloponnese. Backstitches are worked as tiny tendrils lending grace and elegance to the dense design. Shown finished as a cushion cover, it would also make a lovely table runner.
