Thank you. :0) When she unwrapped it at the shower, everyone oohed, and many people said, "Ohhh no one does work like THIS anymore." haha. Then they all looked a little puzzled, and I thought I'd better go check out what THAT was about. They were looking at the BACK. I do good and careful backs...but the front is still better. I turned it over and walked away. :-)

All colors DMC: 930, 931, 932, 3816, 3813. I used the different colors of blue because I didn't have enough floss to do them all the same color. Maybe it works OK... :0) The beads are size 8 silver-lined crystal (Ben Franklin). 26-count off-white linen. I left some of the spaces open instead of stitched to make it a bit "lighter".

Your commentary is as amusing as your handwork is beautiful.

Oh, thank you! I used the rugs for inspiration because I'm not used to so much intensity of color. Blue 3750 Red 347 Gold 738 Dark Turquoise 3808 I think if I had it to do over, I would use a more intense "gold" color...it sort of gets lost.

Thank you! This one, I started with the dark blue 3768 and light peach 754, and it looked like a baby blanket. So I did the medium peach in the corner circles (758) and it was a bit better, but it didn't "sing." So I added dark peach 3776 in the middle circles to give it something to say. I am not a fan of undoing stitches (lazy) so I did this on the fly. If I had it to do over, I would use the medium peach in all but the corners, and use the dark peach in the corners. But maybe that would have been its own mistake. :0)

Thank you. I mentioned in another post that we are moving and my "kit" is packed away, so I'm working with a very limited color selection--which makes it more interesting, in a way. "Let's see what we can do with THAT?"

I see I am missing a color. 3776 for the darker peach.

One thing that is a bit goofy: we are moving and all my stitching stuff is packed away. So for now, I’m limiting my color choices to what fits in my little basket. It’s been a challenge to use the same colors in different ways. Snd I do admit to some trips to the store. 🙄
