After a lot of "samples" decided on these three colors for my project. Using 25 count Lugana in Silvery Moon (just a faint hint of gray). Decided that it would take three stands if DMC for the fullness I wanted - so I had some DMC Pearl Cotton #8 - worked perfectly. Using colors 842, 932, and 3799. Will post as the work progresses.

I purchased the pattern and used cloth and fibers that I already had. I wanted a more pastel palette since I live in south Florida. It also matches my decor. I used 25 count laugana and vineyard Classic Silk threads which are mainly used for needlepoint. They were the same size as the wool suggested and I like the sheen better. Washability is not a concern for me. Happy with the look so far.

Purchased a skein of Appleton wool just to “give it a test drive” using the Santorini Stars pattern motif. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT !!!!! Love the raised texture and the overall look. Can’t wait to make a pillow with this pattern.

Finished Star of Skyros - used 30 count legacy linen. I felt the drawn thread him was a bit "frilly" for me, so I did simple blind him. So happy with the result.
