“Rozain” is rose in Latvian, a land rich in textile traditions and from where this small motif originated. A wonderful allover design excellent for meditative stitching, each square of the design features a rosette formed by both cross stitches and outline stitches and set within squares which are then framed with solid rows of cross stitches. Simple yet elegant, this highly versatile pattern can be made into a square as shown or adapted to a larger or smaller size.
