A few years ago, Lefkada Lattice appeared in the Pomegranate collection. As a fan of eight pointed star motifs, I fell in love with it. Krista noted that the blackwork design in her pattern intended to mimic the cutwork in the original and intrigued, I asked her for a copy of the original work, thinking I could fit the cutwork in somehow. The original also used a different stitch so I thought I could just substitute it one-for-one. And boy, was I wrong! I had to rechart the entire design (and much thanks to the Cleveland Museum of Art that had another piece in the same design family that was released as a creative commons and thus super high res!). Anyway, I've finally finished it. Thank you Krista for the inspiration!
