Hi all - I was a brand new beginner to this last summer and loved it. Then the academic year got underway (I am in higher Ed) and I had little time to pick up my project. Then enough time went by that I figured I would be starting from scratch learning what to do, so I put it off even more. Frankly though I miss it! I've been back on the app, reading all the posts and am inspired to start anew - thank you!

I spent a decade in higher ed and I miss it! I do love having time to do my needlework, though. The nice thing about Avlea designs is that you can easily pick up where you left off without a lot of trouble and Krista has some really sweet smaller kits that are capable of being done in a relatively short time. My job was busiest when students were away, so I got myself a job that is busy all the time. How smart was that?
Oh, you'll get right back into the swing of things! It's one of the things I love about embroidery is that it is so easy to pick up, even if you've taken months or years off. I continually hear from customers who stitched years or decades ago and have rediscovered the craft. Handcraft is good for you whenever you choose to do it!
Like they say... it's like riding a bike...pick up you needle and off you go. By the way, what project did you start?
