I’m not a completionist, but I wish I was. I’ve been stitching Naxos Lattice and just started Golden Celandine but last weekend I just *needed* to start and finish a project. I fell in love with the Latvian Stars pattern that Krista just released in the Pomegranate Collection, but instead of starting a big-ish project, I focused on a motif that was calling my name. It started out as a bookmark…and then I thought I’d fill it with lavender and turn it into a pretty satchel…turns out I don’t have lavender, so who knows what this is! All that matters is I scratched that itch and now I can return to my larger projects. And one day I'll get around to stitching the full pattern.

This is really nice! I've been stitching the Naxos Lattice as well. I generally start a project and finish it before going to the next one but, for some reason I got halfway through that kit and needed to do something else for a little bit. I love it, but there's something about a larger project that says "take a break" sometimes. I think it might be due to the simplicity of it and the fact that it's an all over design. Or maybe it was the change in weather. Who knows! Anyhow, you found a great way to use this design and take a little break. It's a nice little reminder to treat yourself well and enjoy yourself when you're stitching.
