Hello! I'm new to cross-stitching and wondering how everyone anchors their thread with an isolated stitch that doesn't have another same-color nearby? Thank you!
Thank you, both. I've enjoyed my journey so far but its been the outlining so now to the more complicated parts! I also love having a good key word to search for!
Definitely follow Krista’s advice! And then search YouTube for “confetti stitches cross stitch”. I find doing these isolated stitch to be meditative. I start and stop often. I start with a loop stitch, and end with pin stitches. I don’t mind changing thread often — it’s all part of our “sport” of embroidery! Have fun. It’s the journey.
I just use the regular long tail method like I do to start any other stitches/rows of stitches. But then, the back of my work isn't always very pretty!
