But I have come to realize two things: This is going to take a while because I work full time and by the time I can sit down to work on it, it is late in the evening and my eyes are tired. How difficult it will be to see the stitches on linen. Still, slow and steady wins the race. And it gives me joy.

I managed to find some monk cloth at a fabric store near me because it will be a while before I can pick up the linen from my sister's friend. Felt an overwhelming need to start, so I'm using it with some variagated garnet DMC that I have (I think it's 115). Pardon the unevenness of the stitches. It has been decades since I have done cross stitch. 🙂 Trying to decide between Naxos Lattice and Rozain.

Hello everyone. I am im Montreal, Quebec, Canada and I'm unable to find groundcloth locally. A friend of my sister's is originally from Slovenia and has offered me some of hers. Bellow are some pictures. I won't be able to go visit and see it closely by myself for a couple of weeks but if anyone here can tell me if it would work to use with some of Christa's patterns it would be much appreciated. I'm dying to order some patterns! Thank you.
