The Vlachernai Peacocks folk embroidery download PDF pattern is a gloriously regal design featuring confronted peacocks, a symbol of renewal and rebirth frequently seen in Byzantine art including the type of decorations that could have been used at the imperial palace of Vlachernai in historic Constantinople. The peacocks rest atop a border of overlapping diamonds which is then ornamented with a graceful outer border of leaves and stars.
