When I'm making kits, I often have scraps of folk embroidery fabrics that are either too small for a kit or have a crease due to being folded on the bolt, so it's time to share! Terrific for small projects, each scrap bag has 3-4 pieces of scrap. They're also great for when you want to practice drawn thread work or for beginner stitchers and kids. They are not serged.
 
And, I usually include a bundle of floss from when I wind the wrong amount or the wrong colors for kits :)
