I was watching an old floss tube of Krista's and she mentioned that one of her sample stitchers uses Thread Magic. I was curious, and ordered some. It came, a little tiny pot of wax, yesterday afternoon. I used it for the first time last night and, oh my gosh, I am a new fan of this stuff. The thread was so much less prone to tangling, and when it did tangle, the knots released so much easier. Also, when I was stitching into a crowded hole that already held several stitches, it was so much easier to feel my way into a space with the needle. I feel like my little cross stitches look a little more crisp too. Anyone else use Thread Magic or something like it?

It is funny. In the last couple months I've stopped using Thread Magic. Instead, I "love" the floss. Meaning, after I pull out my two strands, I stroke them together with my fingers 5-6 times. Then after I thread them on the needle, I stroke them again 5-6 times. And, honestly, it has been such a long time since I've dealt with a thread tangle that I can't remember when it happened. Thread tangles used to happen every time I stitched. I don't know if they stopped happening because of all my thread love, or what, but I haven't found the need for wax lately.
