I am very new to this whole stitching thing but I’m enjoying it so much! Here is my progress so far on my second ever embroidery piece. I did the Pennsylvania Posie design last year. Today I plan to tackle the leaves. I’m loving how I feel when I stitch. So centered and relaxed. I’m going to try a bit kit cross stitch piece next.

Oh, I never thought about working on something like this when I'm away from home. That's a really good idea to have something you don't have to count.
Looks like you'll be finished soon.

Bravo!! Satin stitch is very intimidating— you are inspiring me to not right off those patterns. ❤️
Beautiful work
Exactly! Satin stitch is all about practice and playing around with gradually making the stitches follow the direction you want. This is the best of all of my designs for practicing that!
Thank you! I wasn't satisfied with my satin stitch work in the posy design, so at first I was intimidated to try this one, which has so much more satin stitch. But then I told myself, by the end of this piece, I'll have made a lot of progress with my satin stitch. Its a chance to learn. And I do think my satin stitch skills have been improving as I work.
Look at you go! Your stitches look very even and tidy--GREAT job! This design is terrific for learning how to work satin stitch and really curve those little tiny stitches :) Keep at it--you're doing wonderful!
