My son's school here in Albuquerque has a two-hour delay today thanks to snow. I've taken advantage of the extra time to work on my Arcadian Rose embroidery, which is so close to being done. One thing between me and the finish: French knots. I watched Krista's embroidery video a couple times, and made some failed attempts that I had to pick out, but I think I've sort of got them down now. Whew. I'll admit I was kind of dreading learning how to make them. I'm feeling rather proud of my little blue knots this morning. I'll put a photo in the reply.

Those look great! French knots require you to hold your hands a bit differently than for most embroidery stitches while you wrap the thread so your brain has to build new wiring for that movement, which means Hooray! You're staving off Alzheimer's!, but it can make you feel a bit slow at it at first so stick with it. French knots are super fun once you get the motion down!
